The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed and a refuge in times of trouble

He is the shoulder to cry on and our strength to rely on

He covers us with His grace and calls us pure, without a trace

He carries us through our struggles, even when our knees feel like they’ll buckle

He lifts us when we fall and welcomes us home as soon as we call

He lights our way through the dark, even when on troublesome paths we embark

He stands firm when we are weak even though He is the last one we seek

He came as a lamb for slaughter, all so that we could be called His sons and daughters
