Psalm 27:1

Psalm 27:1 - The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

O Lord, when You are with me how can I feel fear?

You are stronger than any army. You are wiser than any scholar.

Why should it bother me if people abuse me?

Their voice can’t hurt me because Your voice drowns them out

Their actions can’t harm me because You are my shield

Their thoughts can’t taint me because You are my cleanser

Their doubts can’t sweep me away because You are my rock

Should I fear men when You have created them?

Should I fear slander when You are my advocate?

Should I fear the grave when You have already conquered it?

You are my God who fights for me, who has won my soul and has called me His own.

In this assurance, how can I be afraid?
